Στο φως της Ακρόπολης
Η polka dot design είναι ένα δημιουργικό γραφείο που δημιουργήθηκε από τον Νέαρχο Ντάσκα και την Κλαίρη Γεωργέλλη το 2008 και στεγάζεται στην περιοχή της Ακρόπολης.
Η Κλαίρη
Η Κλαίρη Γεωργέλλη γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1977.
Σπούδασε στην Αγγλία στο πανεπιστήμιο του Reading, 'Typography & Graphic Communication', όπου και έστρεψε το ενδιαφέρον της στην τυπογραφία για παιδιά. Κατά τη διάρκεια των σπουδών της, ανέλαβε δουλειές για τους Reading Scouts, Early Local History Group, Wimbledon Choral Society, όπου και για το τελευταίο, της απονεμήθηκε βραβείο από τον οργανισμό ‘Oxford Guild of Printers’. Με την επιστροφή της στην Ελλάδα, εργάστηκε για την Artoon και την Toad.
Ως μέλος της polka dot design, έχει σχεδιάσει για το Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών, την Alpha Bank, το καρναβάλι της Ξάνθης, τις εκδόσεις Πατάκη κ.α.
Έχει γράψει και εικονογραφήσει την σειρά τριών παιδικών βιβλίων «Tο μικρό μαύρο καλαμαράκι» που εξέδωσε στις εκδόσεις Μεταίχμιο.
Παράλληλα ασχολείται με τη φωτογραφία. Το 2008-2009 παρακολούθησε το σεμινάριο καλλιτεχνικής φωτογραφίας του Φωτογραφικού Κύκλου.
Είναι Τακτικό μέλος της Ένωσης Γραφιστών Ελλάδας.
Ο Νέαρχος
Ο Νέαρχος Ντάσκας γεννήθηκε στον Πειραιά το 1970. Σπούδασε γραφιστική στα ΤΕΙ της Αθήνας.
Από το 1994 έως το 2004 σχεδίασε storyboard τηλεοπτικών σειρών και ταινιών μεγάλου μήκους για τους Filmographo-Πορτογαλλία, BAF-Γερμανία, Hahn Filmproduction-Γερμανία, Muvi Films-Πουέρτο Ρίκο, Dupuis-Γαλλία, Artoon-Ελλάδα. Έχει διδάξει illustration & animation στην CARTOON (Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση Κινουμένων Σχεδίων), στο ΙΕΚ Πειραιά και στο ΙΕΚ Technografico.
Ως μέλος της polka dot έχει σχεδιάσει μεταξύ άλλων για δίαφορα project πολιτιστικών γεγονότων όπως για το Μέγαρο Μουσικής, το καρναβάλι της Ξάνθης, την Alpha Bank καθώς και εξώφυλλα & εικονογραφήσεις για την Athens Voice, Εκδόσεις Πατάκη, Εδόσεις Καστανιώτη κ.α.
Είναι μέλος του ΕΕΤΕ (Επιμελητήριο Εικαστικών Τεχνών Ελλάδος) και τακτικό μέλος της Ένωσης Γραφιστών Ελλάδος.

Under the light of Acropolis
Polka dot is a creative studio founded by Nearchos Ntaskas and Clair Georgelli in 2008 located in Acropolis, Athens.
Clair
Clair Georgelli was born in Athens in 1977.
She studied Typography & Graphic Communication at the University of Reading, in England where she developed an interest in typography for children. During her studies she was involved with various projects for Reading Scouts, Early Local History Group and Wimbledon Choral Society for which she was awarded by the ‘Oxford Guild of Printers’. She returned in Athens and worked at Artoon (Animation Studio) and Toad (Advertising Company).
As a member of polka dot she has designed for various clients in the field of cultural events such as Megaron The Athens Concert Hall, The Carnival Of Xanthi, Alpha Bank, Patakis Publishing House etc. She has written and illustrated a series of three childrens books ‘The Little Black Squid’ published at Metaichmio Publications.
At the same time she is involved with artistic photography and in 2008-2009 she attended the artistic photography seminar of the Photocircle in Athens.
She is an active member of the Graphic Design Association in Athens.
Nearchos
Nearchos Ntaskas was born in Piraeus in 1970.
He studied graphic design and 2D animation at TEI school of graphic arts in Athens. From 1994 he was professionally involved with sketching and created storyboards for animation studios: Filmographo-Portugal, BAF-Germany, Hahn Filmproduction- Germany, Muvi Films-Puerto Rico, Dupuis-Γαλλία, Artoon-Greece among others. He has taught animation and illustration at CARTOON (European Association of Animation), IEK of Pireaus and IEK Technographico.
As a member of polka dot he has designed for cultural events at Megaron The Athens Concert Hall, Alpha Bank, Carnival Of Xanthi, cover illustrations for Athens Voice newspaper, book illustrations and covers for Patakis Publishing House, Kastaniotis Publishing House etc.
He is a member of EETE (The Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece) and member of the Graphic Design Association in Athens.
